Rúnar Ingi Einarsson

Runar Ingi started his directing career at the age of thirteen in Iceland, making family dramas and east coast / west coast gang inspired short films in his suburban Reykjavik neighborhood. His style and attention to detail quickly outgrew the limitations of the Hi8mm camera and later he found himself working for a commercial production company, snatching film ends and shooting music videos for local artists.

Although he´s only 26 years old and has only been directing commercials for a year, Runar Ingi has directed spots for top brands such as Nike & Össur, Ikea, 66°North, Unicef and more. His commercial work has been nominated for the Icelandic Advertising Awards and his work has been featured in various industry standard publications - most recently in an interview in SHOTS magazine as a New Director. Prior to directing commercials Runar Ingi directed award winning short films and music videos.
